Job Summary

We are a family owned and operated multi-store optical shop looking to add an a dynamic sales person interested in fashion, with great customer service skills. We offer all of the training necessary to realize a career in optics. This position would require work in both our Needham and Chestnut Hill locations as staffing needs require. We specialize in boutique and high-end eyewear. We have been in business for over 40 years and continue to grow.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is upbeat and has an interest in fashion and current trends. We are looking for someone with the desire to grow with our business and for someone who is great with multi-tasking. The ideal candidate will be coach-able and have an interest in optics. This could be the start to your career!

Responsibilities and Duties

Assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color, and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.

Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs.

Measure clients' bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes, using measuring devices.

Sell goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general.

Instruct clients in how to wear and care for eyeglasses.

Order and purchase frames and lenses.

Repair damaged frames.

Qualifications and Skills

WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

-Experienced with high end product preferred

-Knowledge and experience in the optical industry preferred but not required

-Experience with lab work preferred but not required.

-Experience with Word/Excel

-Pleasant and professional phone demeanor

-Willingness to work a retail oriented schedule.

Sunday and Monday off

Shop Hours:

Tuesday - Friday: 10AM - 5:30PM

Saturdays: 10AM - 4PM (Chestnut Hill)

Saturdays: 9AM - 3PM (Needham)

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
